Daniel Varella has a law degree, but decided to pursue his dream of becoming a comedian and presenter in 2015. He began his career in stand-up comedy, but also earned a degree in dramaturgy in 2018, in addition to specializing in improvisation courses with teachers Marcio Ballas and Gustavo Miranda.

As the master of ceremonies for his comedy shows, Daniel has always had a talent for presenting. He spent a year in web radio as the host of Rádio Sot, in addition to having two podcasts on audio platforms: Programa RadioAtivos, focused on pop culture, and DogmaCast, a chat show about everything, with his partner Humberto Rosso.

With over 9 years of experience on the Brazilian comedy circuit, Daniel is the founder of the Planeta Podcast, where he has presented more than 500 episodes, interviewing personalities such as Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega, Danilo Gentili, Thiago Ventura, and Fred from Desimpedidos.

The Planeta Podcast and its clip channel together have over 280 million views; one channel has over 671,000 subscribers and the other over 325,000. Daniel hosted an interview program for a season on the cable channel PlayTv and is now the regular host at My Fucking Comedy Club, Danilo Gentili's comedy bar, every Friday at 10 PM.
